New PDF Merge Tool

We have just added a new facility to Guru Exam that will allow any user to easily combine PDF documents together.

While the majority of academics use Word as their document format, there are a number of users who need to work with PDF formats. Often individuals who have mathematical or formulae based papers choose to use Latex, which in turn uses PDF as the output format.

There are also a number of individuals who need to include large drawings at the end of examination papers. These drawings, such as architectural plans, are typically PDF and these need to be joined together with examination papers. Microsoft Word has some tools for inserting PDFs into documents, but these scale poorly and are typically limited to just one page at a time.

The Guru PDF merge tool allows users to nominate up to six PDF files and these will be joined together into a combined PDF document. The order of the file selection will determine the merging order for the resulting PDF.

There are some untrusted online facilities that provide similar functionality. However, building this within Guru allows users peace of mind regarding security and the knowledge that no files are stored during the merging process.

We hope that you find this feature useful. Do let us know how well it works for your needs!
