Institution staff can change regularly and this introduces some new challenges around access management and role allocation.
Staff may change in their roles and it is common that staff will actively seek authorisation for higher levels of access control. However, staff will seldom raise the issue about having excessive authorisation levels due to prior roles. This can be of significant concern for institutions, particularly during periods of audit.
New functionality has been added to Guru Exam that will allow user managers to more easily perform the following:
- Reports - Generate exportable reports showing users and their corresponding roles within units
- Role Discovery - Easily highlight individuals across the institution and within certain units who have particular access roles
- Role Assignment - Easily add or remove roles from users without needing to individually edit users
This new functionality provides effective tools for the easy management of users and for increased security audit across the institution.
